If not just for the fact that the series has been brilliant so far, another reason to watch tomorrow night's Doctor Who, if you can, is the arrival of Captain Jack Harkness in the TARDIS. The actor who plays him, John Barrowman, will make thousands of slashers happy:
he says, 'The thing about Jack is -- it's never really written this way, but it's the way I played it -- he not only fancies Rose but he fancies the Doctor ... I make up the threesome that comes in.'
*brain explodes*
Oh, and his episodes are scary as anything. I also think, for what it's worth, David Tennant will be brilliant as the new Doctor; and I say this as someone who's fancied Christopher Eccleston for about 10 years.
And I just discovered that Adrian Paul is coming to the London Film & Comic Con at the end of June. *brain explodes again* Kate Mulgrew and Robert Beltran will also be there. Now, if only they'd got James Marsters instead of Charisma Carpenter, my joy would be complete. Although I have to admit that pictures of lots of last year's event (overwhelmingly not-very-attractive males in uniform of bad haircuts and saggy-arsed jeans) isn't exactly selling it to me.
