The Job From Hell is now over and I have got my life back. Sort of. I've only managed to check lj very occasionally in the past couple of weeks. The thought of skipping=50000000 is just too daunting and I've probably missed lots of good stuff including stories which I hope to catch up with at some time in the next decade or so ( Read more... )

I cannot tell you what a wonderful time I had! It was so good to see you, and actually be able to talk in person, and I've been walking around eversince with a huge grin on my face. And the small companion, though distracting, was so very cute. I wish I was here for longer, and I wish we could do it again. We climbed up to Arthur's Seat today, our legs hurt, but it was gorgeous. This is why I should spend about two weeks here, so I can take all of it in and enjoy it at a leisurely pace... and trick you into seeing me more!

Basically, I think my point is that I loved seeing you, and you weren't spacey, you had a small child with you! (And I don't think Anna minded the baby part...)

Lots of love,
mwah!

It was beyond wonderful to see you. I just felt as though I was cramping your style with P there (not that you ever gave me that impression -- you were both lovely to us).

But I'm so impressed you walked up Arthur's Seat! Hope you got a decent drink somewhere good at the end of it. Enjoy Dublin!

No, no, not at all! Really, not at ALL, it was wonderful to see you both. I think the solution to seeing you more is simply for me to move to Edinburgh. Ha...ha... but who knows...maybe?

I have to say, we didn't make it ALL the way, but mostly because Anna had awful no-traction shoes on, and she would have fallen and died on the rocks. We didn't want that. But we did have a fantastic time sitting on a mountain in Scotland, eating tomato and cheese sandwiches. I called my mom to tell her, but woke her up. I'm kind of scared of calling her again.

And we're in Dublin, and The Thing is happening tonight, though no walking tour, probably. But still! Yay!

Much, much love from Dublin,
mwaaaah!

How jealous I am of you all...

But it's great that you and Liz finally got to meet in person. Wow! Actually, I am thrilled for you both.

It was amazing to see her. She's so beautiful, and so is Anna. I had a lovely few hours with them -- I just wish it had been longer. And it would have been so wonderful to have all of you here.

I don't know if I'm more jealous of Liz for getting to meet you and small companion, or of you for getting to meet Liz. I think I'll have to settle for being happy for both of you.

I'm also glad that my own intermittent checking of lj coincides with your post.

The solution seems to be to stay up all night to do them.

This is not a good solution. Trust me.

I've missed you.

I was definitely not firing on all cylinders when I met Liz and Anna. They were both great, though.

Pretty icon in celebration of catching up with you.

Mwah!!
