1. bird flu cant spread from human to human (usually). it would/will be a srs threat if/when it does so sustainably. i think... right? IDK.

but you're right, the media is totes hyping it up. they need to put it in perspective; there have been so many flu scares since 1918 that did not kill the world. right now, the virus doesn't seem to be too virulent. actually, IDEA: we should catch it now and get immunity, so that if it gets more virulent, we won't die.
random question- do these things get MORE or LESS virulent? wouldnt it make sense if they evolved to be less virulent so that they could keep the host alive? but then the stuff i've read implies it'll be worse in the fall.... wow, my lack of education is showing. ROCHELLE TEACH ME.
hahaha. just read my previous comment on this post. i think i invented the vaccine just now with that virulency idea. YES. you dont appreciate me enough... if we had to travel back in time i would totally vaccinate us.
