Just you and me eating fudge banana swirl, just you & me, punk rock girl

Currently reading: Cinderella's Big Score by Maria Raha.

Currently spinning in my stereo: Beelzebubba by the Dead Milkmen. Plus others. The Milkmen are a trip, I almost forgotten.

Currently I've noticed that: online folk misunderstand me like mad. For instance, you may think I'm being down on myself, when really it's because I'm humble. Or you ( Read more... )

<3 Dead Milkmen.

You are pretty hard to read, in an online setting. And I am usually really good at reading people.

Did you swallow a brain tumor for dinner? D00dette, if you love Patti Smith and all the majority of the female ass kickers who came after them, up to Sleater-Kinney, etc, then you'll dig that book. I have chosen to read THAT book over taking a shower. It owns my hygeine.

I've seen that book before and meant to pick it up a few times. I'm a sucker for a good rock journalist book, Our Band Could Be Your Life is probably my favorite.

Dead Milkmen......you'll dance to anything by The Smiths. I used to always listen to them over and over in high school while walking downtown. Their lyrics always caught me off guard in the same way Camper Van Beethoven's have.

I hate when people think they know me so they make all of these assumptions and such.

This comment has been of very little merit, heh.

Definitely get it when you're able to.

I listened to The Dead Milkmen when I was real young, like 8 years old about, because of my older siblings.

Exactly. I just realized it now and figured I should try to explain, no matter how shitty or juvenile the explantion came out.

The worst thing about chatting online is the ineffectiveness of sarcasm. It only works, (and only sometimes) with people you are really good friends with. When it's someone unfamiliar, they're not sure whether to take it literally or not (unless it's plainly sarcasm because it's so exaggerated - but that's the cheapest form of sarcasm, anyway).

Word.

(I usually am never serious online. And when I am I would think and hope people could tell the difference.)

Yeah, I know what you mean. I love messing around, and live for making jokes. But sometimes you need to be serious and its hard to know that people know when you are,
