[Brock can be found in the park with an odd blue frog-looking thing, calling out commands.]

All right, Croagunk! Let's try a Poison Jab on that rock!

Croooo...Croagunk!

[The rock is pulverized into dust by the frog's glowing purple fist!]

Right Good one! Now try Brick Break on that larger one! Like we practiced!

[The frog looks oddly at Brock, sighs, ( Read more... )

Ah, you must be one of the sons she always talks about....from your size, you must be Edward.

Nice to meet you!

[What? He's not an over protective not!husband...maybe.]

T-That's actually...pretty good, Brock-san.

Croagunk and I have been practicing hard at this one. You're lucky to be living with such a beautiful woman as Miss Mia...

Ah...thank you...?

What's that thing. It looks like a frog but frogs can't do that. It's really bugging me.

Ah, that's Croagunk, my trusty partner! We've been working together for quite a while...he may seem a bit strange, but he's dependable in a pinch.

Frog? Never heard of that pokemon...

[Another over-protective Elric son happens to see/hear Brock.]

...What do you think you're doing?

[Oblivious as usual]

Well, I'm training with my Croagunk, of course!

Y'see, in addition to power, control is also important...a powerful strike is pointless if it misses, and if you apply too much force, then you tire easier... I'm training Croagunk to control it's power...

[He winces as the head topples off the nearly complete Trisha Elric sculpture from a mis-timed Brick Break]

...And as you can see, we still need a bit of work...

I DON'T CARE ABOUT THAT! I WANNA KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING MAKING SCULPTURES OF MY MOM, IDIOT! You better not be getting any ideas!

If you think that's bad, little guy, I'm living with her...wait, if you're her son, why do you live somewhere else? Did your parents break up or something?

Well, I'm training with my Croagunk, of course!

Croagunk needs to learn more control in his strikes, and see, this town is kind of plain, don't you think?

So in creating these statues, I'm able to to train Croagunk in control, and liven up this town with beauty, at the same time! It's like catching two Pidgeys with one ball!

Croagunk, come over here a sec...

Ah...this guy right here is my trusty partner, Croagunk. Don't worry, he's friendly.

Croagunk's a pocket-monster, or Pokemon for short. Think of them as pets, but more than that. Pokemon like to spar with other Pokemon for fun, and for people like me, we lend our wisdom to their fighting skills to create an unstoppable team!

...ah...flowers? Yeah, you're right...Flowers would work, too...

I should go see Mia at the flower shop later...
