I wonder what that guy must be saying to his gf tonight. I imagine it may go something like, "Today, some little handicapped girl asked me if I wanted to have coffee sometime. I tried to be as nice as possible and said I was flattered. I was kinda creeped out, she must have been 16, I think she was 'special'. I wonder where her parents were."

don't be so hard on yourself!! You challenged yourself to put yourself out there and ask someone out, that's a real accomplishment! go you! Not everyone goes out with everyone all the time -- imagine how complicated things would get if it worked that way. Just because he said no does not mean that he holds you in such a lowly opinion and certainly does not mean he is speaking so horribly about you to anyone. Give yourself more of a break!!
