Wash it, and if they come out great, if they don't then they add to the history of the tunic.

I cringed when I saw him come up out of the mud, and then when I saw the blood I just laughed. It is such a beautiful tunic, but the blood does add a cool-ness to it. I would try to get the mud out but embellish the blood stains.

If it were me, I would get the mud off and leave the blood as a relic :-) (I haven't found the mud from that site to stain, btw - usually comes out with just a wash.)

Is there any wool or silk in the tunic? Because chlorine bleach will eat the wool and turn the silk yellow. But you prolly knew that already :-)

I'm with the "wash it and work with what's left" crew -- but definitely wash it. Sheep are usually pastured in that meadow...

just do a regular wash. if it comes out, fine, if not embroider around it and lable it and date it. Keep doing that as he wears it and someday it will be a story tunic.
how fun is that?

ok, maybe only in my head, but if it were me, that is what I would do.
