The Trick

It has been proven that mental attitude and feelings really affect one's health.  If one is feeling happy and alive the immune system mobilizes.  If one feels angry, sad, frustrated, it is important to allow oneself to feel these things but to let them "flow through" and move on.  It's more beneficial if I think of the chemo tomorrow as a wonderful ( Read more... )

Strength and fortitude thy name is Kahmille. You should hate Chemo, but you should love it to. Kind of like the way we sometimes feel toward our parents. ;-)

You are a pillar of beauty and strength (and you look very cool bald. It is weird, because hair is one of the first things I think about when I think of you. Your hair was so cool and so beautiful. But it was made beautiful because of your coolness. The bald henna look is just the same).

Thanks Val. I like to think I look cool :) A man came up to me today, actually, and said I looked like I had character and would I like to be in his quest. He is taking at least one picture of a complete stranger every day and asking them for 3 words to describe how they are feeling at that moment.

Seven more to go... imagine that... there was a time when this was all counted as months and cycles of treatment... Only.. seven more to go!
It is funny... how you had so much hair... and now that you got used to none and no shaving, how it's kind of invading you... as opposed to coming back... but then... that's one of the bits of you that I've always marveled at - the ability to have a point of view completely specific to where you are in that particular part of your journey as opposed to historic likes or dislikes.

Congratulations on 18 glorious years! Vivat to the two of you!

I love reading people's thoughts... I don't know if that makes sense to you but I really like your observations. I never thought of it that way. I think more often, "Why on earth did I used to feel that way?" Funny.

Is no news good news? I hope you are doing well, and the down days are starting to be the lesser fraction in the good vs down battle!

Thinking good thoughts to you
Love you.
