i'm a die hard RENT fan, so i'm really skeptical about the movie... but we'll see. i figure if i go in with really low expectations then it'll be hard for me to be dissapointed (at least, that's what i did with the harry potter movies)...

edit: the trailer finally finished downloading....

my comment about not having high expectations.... strike that from the record.

almost the entire original cast is back... that's amazing. and "seasons of love" just brought back so many memories of seeing it live that i can't go into it without high expectations.

but i think there's a good chance that it'll be close to living up to the stage (as well as a film can live up to the stage...)

plus it's new york cityyyy which is a HUGE part of the play and they can really show that in the movie. i'm weirded by the roger thing though. i only want to see him kissin on mimi. and anthony rapp! i love that man. and adam pascal <333 i actually bought one of his solo cds. it's alright lol. sounds a lot like the stuff he played in School of Rock actually. i'm just.. excited. because i can't watch the show as often as i could watch a movie lol. my ass will be there for the first showing on the first day. it's a show that's close to so many people's hearts and i would hope that the broadway cast wouldn't sign on to a project that's going to butcher it. excited!!!
