Alright here's the basic story:Our student government (ASG) is being really secretive with their spending. A lot of people have been raising the issue, and every time ASG gives some BS excuse. They said that their spending is audited so we don't need to worry about it, and they said that right now their bookkeeping isn't computerized so it would be too difficult to make it available for everyone to see.(the letter before mine explains why this is so dumb) There was also a bill to make spending public and to open secret meetings, but it was voted down. So now this guy, Gabe Matlin, who's a senator, is trying to get a referendum, which means that students would vote on it, and if a majority say ASG has to be open, then it has to be done. So my letter was just another voice telling ASG what they're doing is wrong.
