I'm watching this thing on MTV about the Holocaust. They're basically reading the diaries of teenagers, some who lived, but of course many who died.

Tomorrow is Yom Ha Shoah, and I think that the greatest tragedy of our time is the fact that, according to MTV, 53% of teenagers don't know what the Holocaust is. I don't know anyone who lived or died ( Read more... )

I watched the same thing, and I cried and cried and cried. I was so taken aback by the response of some of the kids who didn't know what the holocaust was.

sometimes, i will randomly think of the holocaust and i will cry. without even watching a documentary or seeing something about it on tv.
it makes me LIVID and i find it morbidly disgusting that 53% of the future of america do not know what the holocaust is.
we as human beings need to install the knowledge of tolerance in any other human who has never heard of the holocaust or doesn't know much about it.
what happened 65 is one of the most horrible things that have ever happened..and it is painfully sad that people have no idea and have gone about their lives without being aware of it.
