Almost killed by botulism?

Oh deardeardear.

I am currently without internet, and it's challenging. I wanted to make bread, but I couldn't look up a recipe. I wanted to learn what botulism was (and thus not die from it), but google was not available to help me. Why does it seem like SUCH a chore to haul out the old dictionary? I used to be all over that shit in elementary and ( Read more... )

You are the nicest person!
I read your blog and think: THIS IS BETTER THAN POLITICAL INTRIGUE - especially when the topic is political intrigue!

I have been saying 'CSI: Whatever. They should rename it "SEXY DEAD GIRLS" and get it over with' forever (just not as eloquently). So true.

Also, I go to documentary nights as well, but last week was the WORST! It was an awful film that some snowboarding jackass took on about homeless men in Vancouver doing "extreme shopping cart riding."

Are you kidding me?

ALSO! Your new acceptable use policy is wonderful and OH MAN am I ever sad (and happy) that "Misogyny, up close and personal" struck such a deep cord with everyone I know. It was like I heard a collective sigh of relief - or something like it - when everyone started reading/posting it.

When we went 4 days without internet last week I kept a little list of every random thing brought up in conversation that I would have looked up on wikipedia had I had access to the internet.

For sure! I tried to do it too, but man do I ever lose post-its.

Also, show me some art! I got some etsy beads last week, and my first etsy art print today! I am the happiest lady ever. I'm thinking of only ever buying things online from now on because the cost of shipping is WELL WORTH the excitement of receiving mail!

If only it worked for groceries.

I don't know. If my groceries were chocolate bars I'd be pretty damn excited to see that in my mailbox.
I don't really have any art right now, but I should have 4-5 paintings by the end of the month (and magnets, and jewelry).
