It's not like you are deciding to go to the resort your self. Your doing it for your grandfather. You have nothing to feel bad about. Actually it should be a pretty proud moment that you can put your feelings aside for someone you love. Your not making compromises, your being a granddaughter.

I think it's important, when possible, to not just see things in black and white.

This situation is pretty problematic, and I am still very uncomfortable with it. It's nothing but a compromise. But I think I understand what you're saying, Brian. I guess I'm just not close enough with this man to have a sense of proud duty attached to the decision.
