Ah yes. One of the finest games of all time. My second favorite ever. I remember the day I got that game. For my birthday... the year it came out. I got one of the lovely gold copies. My cousin was always jealous 'cos my birthday was before Christmas so I got all the new games and systems before him

OoT is the best game I've ever played. Not only the best RPG game, N64 game, but the best game I've ever played. One of the first games I bought for my N64, and the beauty of it was that I never grew tired of replaying it for the twentieth time and beyond. I was hooked for a long while, until Final Fantasy IX was released for Playstation, which kept me too occupied to pay much attention to OoT for a long time

I think A Link to the Past is my favorite game because of what it means to me and my history.
My step father and I played Super Mario World and beat it when I was in 1st grade. Then, in August of 2nd grade I remember seeing a video game box on top of the cupboard. I couldn't tell what it was 'cos I wasn't tall enough.
My parents gave me "The Legnd of Zelda: A Link to the Past" as another game for my step father and I to play. We did so, and we did it without a player's guide (I don't know what it is with me, I'm addicted to those damn things... I always take the easy way out). I'd come home from school and play it. I'd discover something and show my step father when he came home from work. Then we'd play it for a bit. Those are some of my best memories ever. So not only is it an amazing game, it has sentimental values for me as well.
The reason I got a GameCube instead of any of the other systems was for the Zelda games.
