so, after being out of daycare for the long weekend, my sweet child was finally breathing easy for most of the week. but, having been back for 4 days now, this mornign she sounded all bogged down again with the drip. i've got her head elevated in the crib, humidifier running, saline drops (these really do seem to help) and a sucker. i have GOT to ( Read more... )

Is she old enough for the Infant Tylenol Cold? That's got a decongestant in it, plus the Tylenol shrinks swollen stuff. Poor little monkey - I hope she feels better soon!

thanks! i had been giving her the tylenol cold drops, but i'm trying to lay off 'em for a couple days. if she is stuffy though, she'll have them, at least before bed. the Dr. told me they really don't help. but at least they made me feel like i was doing something for her. munchkin.

I respectfully disagree with your doctor - I've always found that they help immensely. I don't like to use them 24/7, but I give them to the kids before bed to help them sleep, and better sleep means they get better faster. Just my not-so-humble $0.02.

i'm with you. its not like antibiotics and they are building resistance to tylenol or decongestants, so i give it to her before bed, and sometimes in the morning before daycare, if she's stuffed up. at least it keeps a fever from developing.

true. BUT, like a new boyfriend, i'm afraid to tell my ipod what i really think about the situation for fear it'll leave me alone and without distraction. plus i like the irreverance that the headphones portray.

i only have 4 too. which means i'm not the only one who is late. thank goodness. its just the mailing out that i haven't found time to do. however i plan to come in tomorrow morning and steal mailers and electronic postage from the man, b/c lets face it, thats just how i roll. its almost like i'm challenging them to sack my lazy ass.

I totally understand. Right now I'm trying to figure out a way to get work to pay for me mailing off my stupid home owner's dues. I love paying money to live in a neighborhood.

i know!!! we lucked out on that one big time, cuz we live in one of those neighborhoods, but our house is JUST old enough to be excluded from the "association". i think homeowner's associations are wak.
