Consumer Reports says nine of the 12 infant car seats it recently tested performed poorly.

Among them are the following: the Evenflo Discovery, the Eddie Bauer Comfort seat, the Graco SafeSeat, and the Britax Companion.

We had a Snugride with Ethan and I liked it a lot. We got the Britax Companion for Gabe since they'd come out with new ratings and that was at the top. Now they've taken it back, though - apparently it doesn't so much rock as it does suck. Luckily, Gabe is in a convertible seat now.

yeah, i thought britax was a good one, its certainly one of the more expensive ones. i had heard bad things about eddie bauer, but i didn't realize that NONE of them are safe.

on a sidenote it smells like pee in here all of a sudden. and i'm at work so thats unusual.
