sweet!!! i was beginning to wonder if this post was going to prove my theory about nobody commenting on serious ones but always on trash. for instance there were about a million comments just on a picture of keira knightly looking male.

i think this is a great idea too. you WOULD make an awesome vet. You can do it, you just have to be patient, cause like you said, it will take some time. Don't worry about never having taken the GRE, the scores expire after 5 years. Like, mine expired a couple years ago, and I haven't gone to grad school.

oh, totally. go for it!! it might be challenging with Haven, but you and Kevin are a team, right? you guys can do it! especially if it means pursuing a dream. there are lots of hurdles, but you should do this now while you're young and have the energy (even if you don't think you do). you'd be a GREAT vet!! i'd actually love to do it if i could make it past all the bio- blood and guts stuff. ick. oh well. i shall live vicariously through you.

I managed to get a graduate degree while working full-time in a windowless basement and planning a wedding. Now, granted, that was the only time in my life I experienced migraines, but if I can do it, you can do it - especially since you know it's your passion and you've got a loving family supporting you. The key is, just like with AA, take it one step at a time. Once one step is done, the next one won't seem quite as insurmountable.

Go for it, and good luck!

Well, others have summed up nicely what I had to say . . . I agree you would make a great vet and I'm psyched for you that you're committing to it! I can comment on the school thing, having just graduated. I did my degree program part-time while working full time, and it took me about 4 years. You just have to keep reminding yourself of the end goal, and how much it will enrich your life to have a fulfilling career. So kick that GRE's ass!

Oh, and not quite the same thing, but have you seen that Dog Whisperer show, or read his book? I had never seen the show, but Kate got "the moms" a season for Christmas. We were all watching it mesmerized . . . some people are such stupid pet owners, it's good to see him come in and kick some ass. :P

thats a dang good show. sometimes he is a little dramatic, but his tips work. just ask my half blind and more than mildly autistic aussie.
