So I guess I'm finally back in full swing again with school.  So far I'm liking my classes and I'm staying caught up in them (different from last semester) Mom says if I do really well this year I get a cool car *excitement* So I'm pretty much determined to get my GPA back up to a 3.5 because I need to stop beating myself up for my stupidity last ( Read more... )

Sounds like you're having a good time. :) (College is all good. Being a senior is scary like whoa, though. Word of advice: don't grow up.)

Guess what!! We're starting up a pep band this year at Midd! I'm super excited. I mean, we're not a big football school like you guys, but we'll be playing at home football and hockey games. I'm kinda excited, can you tell? ;)

I've recently been getting into video editing. I'm far from good at it, and it just takes soooo much time. What program do you use? I've been using iMovie, mainly because it's what comes with apples (and that's what I've got), but it seems to me there have got to be better freeware programs out there.

Good luck with the classes and all!

I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro. They have much newer versions out I think they're on CS3 but it's a very advanced program...I can't use it anywhere near to it's full potential but I love it none-the-less.

I love pep-bands too though =P You'll love the hockey games! We did a hockey game last year with the basketball band and it was way fun (partly because the only place they could put us was way up in the rafters above the rink)

Pffftt.... Being a senior is fun...it means that undergrad hell is almost over. Grad school is fun...or, work would be better by far.

Far as movie editing...freeware, you're joking, right? For Mac there is iMovie, Apple Final Cut Pro, and Adobe Premiere...those are the only good ones that I know of. And iMovie is rather a pain compared to the software I used on a Windows machine. Haven't used Final Cut, but I hear it is really good.

I like undergrad, thankyouverymuch. Sucks when you're in a field that has like ... no grad school options or work options for post-graduation. Scary.

Hmm. I don't really believe in buying software because...it just costs too much. So I guess I'll stick with iMovie for the time being.

Yeah, same here with baritone. It's just way more awsome, being the bass instead of the trumpet. Which we always have to much of.

Just a note, your computer costed 1800 WITH all your peripherals, which can add up. I'd guess around 1000 to 1200. Yeah, same with the computer, hopefully i can get money from mom, since this thing is dieing and i don't have enough time to save up money.
