I took a 747-8 around the Boeing Field pattern (from the left seat) today. In the simulator, of course. :) -
I Have Landed!
I have arrived in Seattle safe and sound. I am staying with phaedra_lari and lumiere. Tomorrow, I have to be at Paine Field at 6:30a for official paperwork and goat-roping. I suspect the probability of productive work is probably nil. But afterwards I will be available to do things. -

Way haul away, we're bound for better weather...
The truck and trailer are loaded; the jeep is gone; nothing left to do but get some gas and take off for points north. I think I overloaded the trailer a bit -- 48 boxes of books plus assorted furniture and rummage will do that, and I loaded it heavily forward. An odd idea for a video game...
Cheese Monkey: Master Class
The game is based around every cheesy maneuver in every video game ever published. This is inspired by the fact that my PS2 controller is now sitting on top of the entertainment center with a padlock on the fire button in order to raised enough cash in Ratchet & Clank to buy the weapon I need to actually win the game. -
Sailing fun
Last weekend, in addition to attending the Rogue's Party, I picked up my grandfather's El Toro. An El Toro is an 8' sailing dinghy developed for teaching kids to sail. My grandfather built it back in the early 1950s and raced it all over California during the 1950s and 1960s. It's been in my grandmother's garage for a decade, and I brought it out ( Read more... )
