the feeling-shitty part likely came from not the xanax, but the painkillers. they're known for that. (todd just puked like all hell broke loose after taking too many vicoprofen and then foolishly drinking when my father basically shoved a drink in his hand since it was his -- todd's that is -- birthday.)

xanax on the other hand comes with VERY few side effects; it being your first time though, if you just felt generally sluggish and ugghhh, but not sick or "hungover" per se, then it may be from the xanax. benzos are something you have to get used to before you stop getting residual sleepiness and sluggishness from them.
