Dear Hermione,

You don’t hate me. You only think you do, but you don’t really. Because if you really hate me, why do you still look at me like that?

See, for girls, there are different kinds of hate. Fred and George explained it all to me. There’s the hate where you’re seething at the person, brimming with anger and the desire to hex the person at every moment. And then there’s your kind of hate, where you’re just really all sad and tangled up inside and you need to take it out on someone-me.

Look, I know you’re not happy about me and Lavender. But you can’t hate me for it-we’re…er…a good pair, really. Lavender really gets me, and, no offense Hermione, but all you seem to do is snap at me for everything I do wrong. With Lavender, everything just seems…right.

I think the real reason you’re mad at me is because I’m with someone and you’re not. You’ll find someone, Hermione. Don’t worry about it, and don’t take it out on me, either…

We never really had something between us. You think that we did, but you were either off with Krum or else worried too much about Harry to think about me. It’s over Hermione-it didn’t really start.

I’m not saying I’m sorry, Hermione. This time around, I didn’t do anything wrong. You’re the one screaming at me.

And you don’t really hate me. You don't.

Ron
