Jrock Revolution
it was fucking amazing.
apologies for the randomness. i just just typed everything out that i remember and so its not exactly in a perfect order or anything like that. :P
so left friday morning. longass drive. blah blah. got to hotel around 1ish. they wouldnt let us check in so we just used the bathroom there to change then did our hair and stuff in the car. headed to the Wiltern and shit the line was hella long already. twas a good thing we got there when we did instead of at 3 like we originally planned. D: but yea. we were looking for the end of the line [which practically was around the whole damn block] and found some people holding a big ol poster with hide on it. FIRST SPAZ LOL. speaking of which, we never found out what that was for. we passed by it so fast cuz we wanted to find the end of the line, but i think it had a bunch of like writing and signatures on it? dunno. anyway, finally found the end of the line and so began our lovely 5 hour wait. we were being amused at watching the reactions of people in cars passing by with all their 'wtf' expressions. XD;; anyway. finally around 6:15 or so the line started moving. eep! 8]
right upon entering the theater me and Geng[_____just_me] started spazzing again. started rushing around looking for where we were supposed to go. got a quick glance at the merchandise, there were like band shirts from previous tours and stuff like there was the a9 'hello new super view' one and stuff. got to the room where the concert was gonna be held and on this big ol screen X Japan's The Last Live was playing. funny how right when we got in it was showing hide and so of course i lost it right there. ¦3 haha but it was cool cuz The Last Live would be playing in between each band to give time to set up or whatever. anyway, pit was full already [obviously], second section was pretty full, so we headed to the third area. we were at the edge next to the aisle and the damn security guard kept telling us to stay behind the white tape to keep the aisle clear throughout the concert. it was annoying cuz obviously we all would move back cuz of not being able to see cuz of the people in front of us. ¦3 but anyway, yea we were there. had bit of fun watching X and then the screen faded, lights went out, and it was starting.
Kagrra was first. im still a newish Kagrra fan so cant really say what all songs they played cuz i didnt know the names of them except Utakata. i mean i recognized some of the other songs that were played, but dunno the titles. ¦3 but what really stuck out was after one of the songs, Isshi went to the area in front of the drums and got a piece of paper. we were were kinda like '??' but then apparently it was his little English cheat sheet cuz he started reading from it and speaking English. XDDD how cuuuuute!!!!
Duel Jewel was next. now i dunno them that well and so im not really a fan. i had originally wanted them to perform first but im glad they went second cuz with Kagrra going first, i got all excited and motivated and Duel Jewel was like a break for me cuz i kinda wasnt into it the whole time they were playing. :P haha but i think the vocalist was putting the mic a bit to close to his mouth, we all went deaf for a bit. haha..
unexpectedly Miyavi was next. he had this newish little hiphop thing going on, complete with a beatbox dude and everything. ah, mustnt forget the painter guy in the backround. XD;; it was pretty awesome thou. he did a little hiphop ish version of Selfish Love. then showed his awesome guitar skills with Are You Ready To Rock. haha that was cool how he would have the audience join in with the chorus and stuff. his English was actually pretty good thou, despite his whole "I need to tell you guys something...my English sucks." XDDD at one point he pulled out a video camera and started like taping the audience and stuff. after putting it away he said something like "I made a video, do you guys want to see it?" and obviously we all screamed yes. it was about the new band and so that was the obvious point that he would be in that 'super band.' ¦3 but it all had text and stuff and said "Yoshiki, Gackt, Sugizo, and....Miyavi." we all hella knew it but screamed like hell anyway. haha. then apparently Sugizo was actually there and appeared as a guest and played guitar along with Miyavi in the next few songs. and then YOSHIKI CAME OUT. haha it was this part that the security guard gave up on pushing us out of the aisle, we all just crowded it like hell once Miyavi announced him and X Japan's Dry Your Tears started playing. he came out, in the usual all black and sunglasses and stuff, but super hott of course ;3 talked about the new band and such, and how they're gonna be at AnimeExpo [omg hella need to go to that now]. and yes, there was the Jrock God appearance of the night.
during the break time after that, some lady approached me and Geng. i thought she was just gonna push us back out of the aisle, but then she stopped to talk to us. i thought she was gonna make us move just cuz we were blocking the aisle so much and so my mind was hella going 'no dont move us we didnt do anything im sorry!' but then she was just like "Hey are you guys together? You wanna get into the pit?" O___________O obviously we said yes, she was all like "You gotta ask mom first though" since my mom was right behind us and all. haha but she said it was all good and so the lady gave us our little wristbands to get into the pit and told my mom that she could now take a break in the back or whatever [again, obviously my mom didnt go with us to the pit]. we got our wristbands and went into the pit, majorly spazzing with "omg we're in the pit right before the bands we were looking forward to the most."
Vidoll came on next. Rame came out with his little red bag and was throwing out candy. i got a piece of candy!!!!! 8] yay Rame candy!! [although it's actually 'royal milk tea' apparently] Rame candy!! XDD Jui came out last of course, but gawd when he came out i was like "holy shit he is so fucking beautiful." he was so gorgeous! *___* ♥ i love Vidoll but again, new fan so i dunno their music well but i know they played nevaeH, Toumei Nakago, and Ningyou. haha Jui didn't even try to speak English thou. he was all speaking Japanese and that was the only time the entire audience was perfectly silent cuz we were all trying to catch words we did understand and stuff. XD;; but damn they were so awesome, and Jui is so fucking gorgeous. ♥
and so the best for last, alice nine was next. they were in their Hello Dear Numbers outfits. Tora had his hair with the half blonde and half black all spiked up and stuff. they came out in backwards order [Nao, Saga, Tora, Pon, Shou] and before Shou came out a few of us started chanting "Shou! Shou! Shou!" until finally the lovely now dark haired vocalist came out. they started off with Velvet, and i think the order after that was Red Carpet Going On, Yami Ni Chiru Sakura, Kowloon, Haikara Naru Rinbu Kyoku, and Shunkashuutou. during one of parts where Saga was supposed to yell to the beat in Velvet, i guess he had accidentally knocked over his mic and so he had to go rush over to Tora's mic to finish the yelling. XD;; staff dude rushed over to fix the mic and stuff but yea. Yami Ni Chiru Sakura was unexpected since it's a pretty old song and all. i was disappointed that they didn't perform G3. ¦3 during Haikara, i think Shou was trying to figure out how to say drummer in English or something for the whole rolecall part, and so when it got to that part he had just barely said only "Drums" and so not very many people shouted "Nao!" :( everyone else got their names called out nice and loud thou. then Shou of course said "Showtime" *cough* and Saga did his wonderous bass fanservice, the extended version like in the Hello Dear Numbers dvd. he went centerstage and dropped to his knees for the solo. then he just stuck his tongue out and licked only from the middle of the neck of his bass and up. right after that he went back to the bottom of the neck and just started brushing his lips against it in a sexy way and all. x] speaking of Saga, there were quite the number of times [okay more like 3 or so] that he would go and visit Nao. 8] everytime i caught that im all thinking "SagaxNao SagaxNao SagaxNao." *shot* anywho, everyone was headbanging like crazy during Yami Ni and Kowloon. Pon almost missed saying the first "Fly away" in Kowloon since he was up front visiting us and all. he just barely made it back but we didnt really hear anything even thou it seemed like he had whispered it and all. but on the second one when he had to yell it, it was so very nice and clearly said, not much of an accent. :] Shou was also ahead during the countdown in Kowloon, said 5 too soon and stuff. :P annnnd Tora messed up during his solo in Shunkashuutou[i was afraid of that]. he was doing perfect but the very last note of the solo was off. haha Shunkashuutou was fun thou cuz thats when almost everyone was singing along. :] Pon was the one that gave the most love to us up in to pit area, actually looking down and smiling and us and all. when Saga and Tora came over to our side they kinda just looked beyond the pit for the most part and at the rest of the audience. ah and mustnt forget Shou's great English: "Are you ready go crazy?!" twas something like that, was just missing like one verb. ¦3 yay Shou! yay alice nine!
//edit: ah, remembered one other part that stood out. you know that one weird kicking-spinning-headbanging movement Pon always does during a Shunkashuutou performance? [like here] well, this time Tora had done it, but in his own sort of way. he didn't crouch down as low as Pon usually does, and instead he just kept kicking and lifting his legs higher and higher. seemed like he was kick boxing or something. XD;; but was awesome nevertheless!
//haha one more: sometime during Velvet, Shou had done his little fanservice-ish thing where he sticks his tongue out and at the same time sticks his finger in his mouth [like during the HLD dvd during Kowloon]. hehe yumm~ ;3
after the concert very tiredly headed back up and headed to the merchandise. practically everything was sold out already. XD;; cept Duel Jewel stuff apparently. there were quite the number of photosets and little bags and cell phones charms for them still there. there were also dvds for X Japan's The Last Live on sale. the alice nine tshirt i had seen hanging up was gone, and so was the Miyavi one. the number one thing we really wanted was one of the shirts that said Jrock Revolution and listed the bands, and apparently the only sizes left were large and xtra large [which would obviously not fit us]. but when Geng asked for her medium, the dude went and checked, said no, smelled his armpits and said "I'm wearing a medium here. I promise it doesn't smell, would you like it?" LOL. well, he offered, so she took it. XDDD he was wearing a shirt underneath so its alright for the most part. XD;; and then when i said i wanted one he had one of the others dudes give up the shirt they were wearing as well. he said something like "You guys are lucky, it takes a lot to get guys here to strip." XDDD o gosh. besides that i also went and got myself an X Japan shirt. x] but that's that. passed by a closed Starbucks on the way back to the hotel and joked with Geng saying "Aww it's closed? Nao's not gonna get his after-performance-coffee now!"
overall thou, it was damn awesome. obviously the Vidoll and alice nine performances stood out hella more to us since we had been given the chance to get up close and all. but it was all just damn amazing. ♥

yeah, it was definately "are you ready to crazy???" i laughed, then just screamed, cause i was "ready to crazy." lol.
and the vidoll thing: jui was saying that language is specific to a country/region/whatever, but music is universal, and that's what counts.
