Platelets are up again (this is good)

Headed to the outpatient clinic this morning for blood work and found that my platelet count had gone up from 20 to 58. This is a good thing. When I was in the hospital they would give me 2 units of platelets and my count would go up to about 20 and then the next day they were back down to about 10. In this case my bone morrow is making them

We are talking cooking here btw. lol. Hopefully I will get to a point where I can travel for a long enough period of time to come over that way. I am not home free yet but the blood work is at least a step in the right direction. The treatments that I am getting are not exactly a cure but a method of controlling the condition. In some cases what I have been taking in some patients can reach the 5% bad cell which is what they concider remission. As receptive as I was to the first round of 5 days of chemo , who knows what this second round is going to do. I will say this. After my first round of chemo my body was still not making platelets and I was getting blood tranfusions every few days so this is a positive indication that something good may be going on. Will know more when he does another bone morrow
