Went home, had 14 oz of coffee on the way (6 sugars, 7 creams, but half decaf)

Ok, first of all, coffee is defined by the BEAN. So in that sense I'm a snob. I've got my brazilian EXTRA FORTE, and for general daily use I buy Dean's Beans, Green Mountain, or some other kind of high quality bean.

When I used Equal, I used to totally over-sweeten my coffee. When I first kicked the habit, I needed SIX sugars in an 8 oz coffee, and 6 creams!

Now I'm down to half that (generally 3 & 3, though I use a little more cream in Hazelnut).

Keep in mind that 1 cream is literally a teaspoon of liquid. I think 1 sugar packet is 1 teaspoon, also.

Since I stick with good quality beans and I have halved my sugar and cream consumption, I think I'm doing pretty well.

Fact is, I like my coffee like I like my men, light and sweet.

I am not addicted to the caffeine in coffee. I just LOVE THE TASTE.

I'd drink just decaf, since it doesn't send my bloodpressure up or give me jitters, but dammit, decaf just tastes BAD!

The only Decaf I can drink straight is Dean's Beans.

So, I compromize. Half decaf coffee and half caffeinated coffee = all the taste, half the caffeine. Hey, my job is stressful enough, I don't need more caffeine to push me over the edge!
