i was tryin' to lighten some dark SPN caps...I found a way..an easy one :D
how to go from

in 5 steps!
Includes: Color Balance layer
Program: Photoshop CS2
I took my cap
Crop it 100x100. This will be our base.
Duplicate the base 3 times and set them all to screen.
Layer >> New Adjustment Layer >> Color Balance
Shadows: 17, 0, -28
Highlights: 9, -2, -17
Layer >> New fill layer >> #eacdf3 >> Multiply 30%
Layer >> New fill layer >> #a5aac9 >> Color Burn 100%
Duplicate the base, drag it to the top and set it to Soft Light, 60%
you'll have to play with opacities depending on your base.
Sharpen.
and you'r done!
add text, textures, brushes..whatever.
