One of my blog objectives is to compile a complete list of animated Disney films (which you will find below) and then create individual blogs for each film with information, pictures, icons, trivia, etc. My husband and I are both Disney freaks and we've been collecting Disney DVD's since before our daughter was even planned. Below is a checklist of

Initially I have been agains sequels.. but my youngest LOVES Jungle Book 2 and I have to admit it has grown on me.. now NOTHING can replace the original and if he didnt love it so much I wouldnt have ever wasted my time watching it BUT it is a hit in my house.. HAHA..

My husband was and still kinda is against a lot of the sequels but the majority of them are actually pretty cute. Dont get me wrong, there are some sequels that I am not the fondest of (Cinderella 2, but I love Cinderella 3) and there are others that I think the sequel is better than the original (Rescuers Down Under).

I came here from disneyfreaks, and whoa, what a long list. I'm a long time Disney fan, but you don't realize how much stuff you have before seeing it listed like this.
I'm not surprised to see that the only movies I'm missing (with a few exceptions) are sequels. I stopped watching them after Pocahontas II which is the only Disney movie I really didn't like so, I know I'm missing a lot of good stuff this way, but I don't want to be disappointed again.
Also, do you have some shorts movies, like Myckey's or Silly Symphonies (my personnal favorites)? There are dozens and dozens of them and they sure are worth checking out; they're honestly as good as the longer ones (only a lot less known).
And lastly: Sleeping Beauty Platinum Edition <10/7/2008>!!!
I want it soooo bad, this is one of the only Disney movies I still haven't got in english (I'm french...which explains the crappy grammar and spelling :p), and I'm really really looking forward discovering the original voices!

Thanks so much for checking out the list and commenting!
Thats exactly what I thought! You dont realize how much is out there until its all in front of you and then realizing that you've got most of them is even more exciting!
I dont blame you from getting discouraged with sequels after Pocahontas II. I blocked that one out of my memory, but I totally agree, its gotta be THE WORST.
I've got a few of the Silly Symphonies (sp?) as bonus features on DVDs, my favorite is the Merbabies one on the Little Mermaid II DVD. Its so cute!
The new Sleeping Beauty disc cover artwork is AMAZING! Its so much prettier than the first/last DVD they released of Sleeping Beauty. I'm going to see what the differences are between the editions before making a final decision on wether to re-purchase or not! =) lol I've got it bad for Disney!

I dont know what they were thinking with Pocahantas II. I mean, really-DISNEY!! Come on! Same with Cinderella II, and yet Cinderella III is really good as are most of the other sequels for other films. I guess they are allowed to drop the ball once and again.
Toy Story 2 is awesome and I can not wait until Toy Story 3 comes out in a couple of years! hopefully my daughter will be able to sit through a movie at the theaters by that time.
