your life has gone great because that's the life you created for yourself. i know you understand this and you're lucky. most don't until it's too late, if at all. it's not easy to be depended upon to be a foundation or source of motivation. you've been more than fair and hopefully she finds herself soon.

i just wanted to comment on how mature your "vent" was-
it's good to look at things for what they are and to disallow emotions getting in the way. i personally think that you two are too young to be in a committed relationship anyway, there's soooo much still ahead of you. that's my opinion- from a gal that almost literally runs away from commitment of any kind. haha.
