Despite the madness of what's going on in our world, I'm gushing over all of the wonderful people I've been so lucky to know as of late. It seems as though I'm constantly surrounded by incredible people. It feels good.
Last night was awesome. My
awesome friend and her man came by to see my pad and then took me out to a local bar that I can't

I think the love that you talked about earlier is always significant. And i agree, i defend Tom Cruise all the time! What totally turned me around was "Vanilla Sky", a film that i am pretty obsessed with. He was so incredible in that. I havent seen "Eyes Wide Shut" in quite a while, but i remember liking it a lot. I dug the slower, atmospheric pace, and the masks... oh the masks. That scene is chilling.
Yeah, marriage still seems so wierd to me... but in a good way. One of my oldest freind got married recently, and i am still getting used to calling Her his Wife. Its got to be an amazing thing. I just know that *I* am not ready for such an amazing thing!

I'm so sick and tired of people complaining about Vanilla Sky to me, saying that it wasn't "that great" and that I have to see the original. WHATEVER. I love it. Cameron Crowe is such a doll...such a romantic. And he always manages to stick his passion for music in there too, which I'm always a sucker for.
And Tom Cruise in Magnolia...hello! He's amazing!

"Abre Los Ojos" is not that great. Its not *bad*, but not that good either. I think people say that the original is better just to say they like "foriegn films". Subtitles do not make a film better! The plot and acting has just as much chance to suck! The characters in the original were pretty thin... especially Jason Lee's character who i absolutely loved... especially since i'm from Ohio. "you will never know the pain...", and "proximity infatuation, dont use that!" Yes, Crowe is a romantic. That scene when Tom follows Penelope back to her apt and they banter back and forth trying to be witty... Tom seeing her place for the first time, and my favorite, "that smile's going to be the end of me"...*sigh*... and any man who uses Red House Painters in his films is okay by me!

"Well, it's my life and you can't have it!"
I think that's particularly cute.
And, come to think of it, I can't think of any movie I haven't liked Jason Lee in... :)

I was sitting in my psych class earlier, just thinking how weird it was to know that thousands of miles away, bombs were being dropped in our name. Pretty depressing stuff, really.
I found you randomly through "interests." Just in case you were wondering.
I try and rock out on occasion.
