Just skimmed..you spelled "separate" wrong in the last paragraph on Edinburgh.
oh yes...Edinburgh, Brooklyn Park, etc. You are now entering my 'hood of sorts. Kirby Puckett used to live near the golf course...not too far from where a childhood friend's family relocated (from my actual 'hood of BC) in the 80s. Her father worked as a BC cop (definitely not a ritzy profession) yet they lived near the esteemed Edinburgh of which you write. To be technical, I wouldn't so much assume BP as being strictly blue collar. On a slightly off-topic note, one of my pet peeves comes to mind....the assumption and often insult of Brooklyn Center being labelled as "the ghetto" of Twin Cities suburbs. BC as well as BP have undergone a lot of changes throughout the last 20 years and have seen an increase of not only "ghetto types" but all sorts of new residents of different social classes and ethnicities. But I'm sure you probably already know all of that.
oh Brooklyn Park..and the days of my youth...just rambling, here
yeah, i used the spell check but didn't actually change anything for the post.
i certainly know that bp isn't all blue-collar; a good friend of mine is from there but his folks got some dough. however, that is the image of bp, as you mentioned also.
