From a Reuters article about Liebermann's primary battle:
"...tension within the Democratic Party over how to handle Iraq -- between moderates who support the war and powerful activist groups such as Moveon.org..."

Only in post-911 America can you be called a moderate for supporting a war.

you think so? I think that throughout history there have been many times when a nation's war effort was a bipartisan one, so wouldn't that be considered moderate in those circumstances?
