Zacharias was most definitely not hiding. He was just avoiding the middle-aged witches currently having some type of tea party in his mother's garden. If being home meant his family was out to ruin his summer, he'd have to start spending more and more time in random places

It had been a long, hot day of shopping. The type of day that Daphne craved turning seventeen so that she could pop home quickly to drop these heavy bags off. They were seriously weighing her down.
Just as she made it to the ice cream parlor the bottom of one of her bags ripped clean open. Her new robes and dresses hit the floor while quills and accessories scattered.
It took a moment to completely register. Things like this never happened to her. At first Daphne didn't quite know what to do and just sighed loudly, staring at the gorund.

He would have laughed if she hadn't looked so confuse by the situation she found herself in.
Shoving up from his seat, he crossed the few feet between them, gathering up a few wayward quills and bobbles he didn't actually know the names of along the way.
"It usually helps if you pick your things up before someone tramples them."

"Yes, you're right. That usually does help," she said, finally bending down to gather her things. Daphne let out a small laugh, realizing how complete mad she must have looked a minute ago.
"Thanks for the help. I'm usually not so scatter brained."

He looked her over and put on his most winning smile. Today was incredibly boring, but maybe he could weasel at least a few minutes' entertainment out of it. She was cute, and that was usually enough.
