Paris Party! (Saturday, but posted early by request)

Aug 03, 2012 19:09

Zacharias loved parties, especially when he was throwing them. Granted, that meant he wasn't going to be drinking nearly as much as he wanted, but someone had to make sure no one blew his house up. He'd delegated bartenders to Daphne, a fair bit of decorating to Mandy, and made Megan entertain him. He sort of felt bad asking them to do anything ( Read more... )

Free booze and a party in a house in Paris? Eddie was there. It didn't take much convincing from Roger, Lavender and Parvati. Staying away from his house was one of his top priorities for the summer. He had promised Maeve to hang out with her soon and when he didn't have plans with anyone, Eddie just walked the streets of London.

At first, Eddie hung around with Roger but eventually he found himself alone with a glass of rum surveying the house he was a guest in. It was nice, to say the least. Eddie felt oddly out of place, but at the same time comfortable with the idea that he would love to live there.

Everything about the party was near perfection. The girls were in fine form and the more Eddie had to drink, the more he wanted to find someone to get to know.

Lavender had disappeared at some point... So that left Parvati alone. Downing drinks involuntarily. It was hard to remember exactly how many strawberry or pineapple ones she'd had. The sweet ones were always her worst enemy.

"Eddie!" Vati squealed, rushing over to him (however fast a drunk girl in heels could rush without falling over). "They disappeared again," she commented, heavy implications in her words. Somehow it felt like the two of them were always left in the dust of Lavender and Roger.

"I'm not surprised," Eddie tilted his head back to consume the remainder of the beer he had recently opened. Usually he was all about hard liquor, but beer seemed to not make him as moody. He generally felt more laid back when the alcohol didn't go straight to his head.

"We're just here for when they randomly decide they need a change of pace," he winked at her. "But let's not let them ruin it for us, yeah?"

Parvati looked good and more than tipsy. "What sort of trouble have you been into?"

Parvati rolled her eyes at Eddie's comment. She knew that she shouldn't be jealous of Lavender's new relationship, but it was hard to not be.

With a giggle, she shook her head, and then pushed a stray piece of hair back. "No trouble, just dancing. A lot of dancing."

Mandy was glad she decided to head to Riah's early. While it was super awkward with Daphne there, the fact that she got to see him made it all worth while. She didn't mind decorating, it gave her something to do that took her mind off of everything. After she had set up everything she went and got changed. She was excited about her outfit she figured different city, different style but she fell good wearing it. She figured with all that was going on, with the fight with Drew and the casualty list coming out, the girl needeed to relax.

Now that the party was in full swing Mandy was having fun. She was probably on her third drink and swaying a bit to the music. She could feel the effects from the drinks but she wasn't acting any different really. She looked around for someone to talk to.

Zacharias was making his rounds. He'd tracked down mostly everyone he cared to talk to, been waylaid by a lot of them he didn't care about but basked in the attention anyway, and was circling back to people he just wanted to see.

He'd just abandoned Megan. Or was it Daphne? He'd just abandoned one of his favorite girls and grabbed a new glass of champagne when he saw Mandy.

He slipped an arm around her waist. "Are we people watching? Is anyone fighting? Has someone lost a top yet?"

Mandy laughed when Riah came over to her. He had been super busy playing the lovable host and it seemed that everyone was pretty much having a good time. The music was banging, the drinks were flowing, and voices were everywhere. Sure she wasn't at the center at this party but it was still going well for her.

She wrapped an arm around his shoulder and smiled, "Yes, not that I see, and no." She giggled, "This party is wonderful dear. Another success for you, as if that's a surprise."

"Thank you, gorgeous," Zacharias laughed. He never expected his parties to fail, but with the wizarding world in a panic, he'd been a little worried.

"I always have to have at least one big summer blow out. This one just fell into my lap."

It had been a long and crazy week so when Terry suggested the attend another party, he was more than willing. Well, first he made Terry promise not to leave him among a crowd of Slytherins again.

But when they got there, this time it was Terry's turn to split. Drew didn't mind going in search of his own mates. Everyone was supposed to be here; they'd be stupid to miss one of Riah's bashes. Which also meant that Mandy was probably here.

He looked around, both happy and disappointed that he didn't see her. It was a very complicated emotion.

Though, he did notice one very drunk, stumbling Parvati enter the room a few feet away. She didn't look exactly steady on her feet and he instantly went to her.

"Hey, are you okay?" he asked, approaching.

"Haahh, yeah," Parvati slurred, using a muscular shoulder to steady herself. "These shoes suck though."

She turned to look at the owner of the shoulder, and she was pleasantly surprised to see Drew Kirke. "Drewbie!" she exclaimed, giving him a quick hug, "How have you been? I've barely seen you."

Despite being a year younger, Drew was seriously fine. Especially with these liquor goggles she was wearing (made 8s into 11s).

Drew didn't mind pulling Parvati into a hug and made sure she was steady on her feet when he pulled away. Or at least steady enough for how drunk she seemed.

"I've been around...but I you're under house arrest," he told her, laughing lightly. Drew knew that Parvati and Lavender enjoyed a few drinks but he had never seen her like this before. He wasn't sure if he found it funny or troublesome yet.

She wasn't going to lie, that was one of the more enjoyable hugs she'd ever had. His chest was outrageous.

"I really needed to let loose, you know?" Vati laughed, running her hands down her outfit to make sure it was all in order. "I hope I didn't let too loose... Wait do I look okay?" she asked seriously, standing back a little to let Drew look at her.

Mandy hadn't been having to much of an exciting evening. She had mostly been on the sidelines. She should have figured that the way it all started with the tension with Daphne that it wouldn't be a good night. She had been finishing a drink when she saw him. Drew arrived with Terry. As much as she wanted to go over and give Terry a hug hello she just couldn't, she couldn't be over by him. She had accepted the facts ( ... )

Drew was having a great time out with Parvati. She was a much better than he was though - even when was shit faced drunk. There were some things a man just couldn't do.

After a few songs he needed another drink. Leaving Parvati in her groove, he headed off in the direction of the bar again. The rum and coke had been one of the best he ever had. But then again, he heard that Daphne supplied the bartenders and she seemed to be very picky.

Just as he approached he felt somebody knock into him and he instinctively grapped at her waist to steady her.

"Hey, you okay?"

MAndy was thankful for the arms that caught her but then froze when she heard the voice that went to it. This was way to familiar and she just wasn't having it.

"Yeah I'm fine, thanks," She quickly stood upa dn pushed herself out of his grip and looked at him. Damn he still looked good even though she had just been watching u pall up on someone else.

"Hey Drew."

Drew couldn't believe his luck. He hadn't actually seen Mandy all night, wasn't sure if she was here. Then, out of nowhere, she literally fell into him.

"Hey, I didn't realize you were here," he said, feeling a little uneasy. He couldn't believe it had been so long since they spoke.
