The OC Confidential featuring Death Cab for Cutie for all of 2 seconds.

Apr 22, 2005 18:08

Last night's episode was hardly anything to brag about. It was actually pretty frustrating, mostly due to the lack of resolution/plot advancement, but more so because our local fox station cut out during a scene to give updates on a storm that had already passed.

The OC Confidential like LA confidential except without Guy Pearce and a good storyline )

Ok, I'll go first. I love Sound Of Settling, that song makes me smile. I know it sounds foolish, but it's true.
ZACH PLEASE LEAVE, I didn't mind when you were boring and stupid but now you are trying to win Summer back by playing really low and.. I think that's quite cheap.
So, in the CTV preview Summer leans to kiss Zach, probably after she is humiliated by Seth licking cream from a random in Miami.

DON'T MESS UP WITH KANDY, I'LL HATE JOSH IF HE DOES, AND PLEASE, JUST PLEASE... I want a new plot. Zach is Oliver and Carter is Rebecca. Caleb, he isn't as evil as he was supposed to be in the beginning.

I'm not angry however... but.. maybe I would be happier if DCFC played for more than 2 seconds.

Well they have to throw some speedbumps in our paths---Zach is totally treading in very dangerous waters. I liked him, but if he continues to act like this, I will want to beat the crap out of him and his little smug face. Josh has already messed with Kandy once (twice if you count Rachel), so hopefully it'll go back to normal after 2 episodes like everything else on the show. Then next season, we'll probably get someone else who comes to town to mess up their relationship again. So is the way it is in the OC.

Oliver? Yikes, this show must be running out of ideas not that it doesn't go through storylines at an already breakneck pace. I remember this article where Josh Schwartz was commenting on Marissa batting for the other team by saying, "...Hey it was either that or bring back Oliver."

Glad to hear that Tate Donovan will be back but permanently or just a one or two episode arc? I have to admit the show feels a bit anorexic after so many seemingly main characters left by the end of Season 1 and with these new season 2 temp characters like Alex and Lindsay that are ditched once they have outlived their usefulness. I didn't like the whole lesbian thing but Alex was a neat character beating on Seth and all.

Wasn't an Arrested Development character suppose to show up on the OC sometime this season? Or am I high on 'shrooms. Haha, I remember when I first heard that word, "Man those 'schrooms tasted like ass."

Josh apparently wants to punish the fans by bringing Oliver back. I mean, I see no reason for this, as there has been a merry-go-round of characters this season. Tate will not be back permanently, I don't think---I wish Luke was coming back also though--he was way better than this "kyle" kid. On Arrested Development, Tobias was supposed to try out for a role on The OC, but seeing as AD is probably not coming back next season, I don't see that happening.

That look that Zach shot Seth as he was leaving with Summer REEKED of smarminess. I was so repulsed. Kristen and Carter? And then the Trey and Jess thing? Man, wtf is going on? The storylines are getting DARK, yo.

Summer has the best lines these days. Man, if it wasn't for her...

Zach's problem is that he has this shit eating grin on his face all the time now. I want to punch him in the face. Yeah, these storylines are definitely going to crap fast. I'm trying to hold onto the Seth coattails of humor, but even he is starting to lose his cute awkwardness.

I watched the previews off of unwavering-affection.net and slowed it down and I noticed something not so cool between Summer and Zachbot. It looks like they kiss!! You see Summer and Zach standing in front of each other and she just moves closer to his face. I was quite appauled by this seeing as how this shouldn't ever happen again. I too, want to hate Josh for doing that..but just can't seem to.

Yeah it does--but the OC trailers do have a way of tricking us into thinking that things happen, even though they don't (ie Carter asking Kirsten if she wanted to take a shower sounded like he meant that she take one with him in the commercial). I don't know, maybe he's got something on his shirt that she's going to pick off? A girl can only hope, but we'll see what Josh plans on Thursday.

Yeah they kiss, "The Return of the Nana" is gonna be SO "The Vegas" but with Zach, the idiot, in the middle of it. Although I'm quite disappointed because of the previews I understand Summer, I'm tired of hearing people say she is the responsible of the whole drama because she was with Zach in the first place. I can understand her. Summer loves Seth, but lately he is acting like a jerk. You can't say she didn't try even when he is always putting her in second place: Anna, Ryan, the comic... I mean I understand her as a woman, I would be a little confused and angry and frustrated if the guy I love is always messing up. So, being Summer a little impulsive she just.. runs away, and who's gonna be there for her? ZACH who I hate. Hopefully this is only for two episodes, I want them back by the end of the season. And as you I want the old Seth back, I want the old Sether back, maybe there should be a little MORE talking (about important things such as him running away and breaking her heart) with actual emotions, that's how relationships

You are right with the comparison to The Strip, except no strippers, sadly. Summer has been a little bit unreasonable with the whole 'don't tell me about your comic because I'm not interested' deal. If I were Seth, I'd be a little offended that she wouldn't be interested in something that I love. That said, however, Seth is a douche bag too and he's very selfish in this relationship. He forgets that he left her last summer, driving her to go to Zach--and he's doing it again. I wish it were as easy as being able to fix everything by the end of the season, but I'm sure Mr. Schwartz has a doozy planned for the season finale.

seth is being a tool, but summer hasn't been the best girlfriend ever either. i know their relationship partly based on humor/sarcasm, but she's FOREVER cutting him down. like when he wanted ryan and marissa to get back together -- if he ever dragged her through the library, hit her (even playfully) on the head and called her assface, etc. she'd be out of there faster than zach could come get her. and what's with not being supportive about the comic book thing? she was really rude about it, and then can't even be happy for him (at the party, etc.) when he's finally getting close to success.

they're both being ridiculous.
