i can see you're disappointed in the amount of relating as a result of having a journal...i can't speak for all, but for me, a journal is a place of reflecting and getting some feedback from "real" people that i might have some connection with, but it's never been a place that i've looked to in order to "meet someone" (not that it couldn't happen or i'm opposed to it). it's just not a very conversational (i guess is the best descriptor) avenue..

i'm open to learning more about you and others as is revealed, and visa versa, but it's a slower process than places meant for the purpose of connecting.
