Hey everyone,

So for over a year now, I've been working at the Backdoor Cafe in Nyack. It's an incredible place to work with wonderful people, good music, and good times. We put on shows consisting of local performers from Rockland as well as performers who are still local, but in their towns.

yo, anyone in high school, hit this up.

if they are understaffed for events, events get canceled, end of story. lots of you go to all these shows anyway.

as someone who use to go to the backdoor shows almost every friday like 4,5 years ago i can tell you this...
it's a great thing the backdoor gives kids something to do on a friday night
but!
it's totally not what it use to be
it's very sad that younger generations can't enjoy good music and good shows who actually use to play there

The backdoor was such a big part of my middle school and high school life in Rockland county. I made lifelong friends from the staff and had some of the best memories ever. You have your whole life and whole college career to go to bars or do drugs in some kids basement. So spend your youth wisely and support the Rockland scene, I wouldn't change that part of my life ever, plus, it's just another great thing to add to a college resume!
