I remember it. It's time as a driving range was before I was born and it's original time as a concert venue was earlier than I can remember. I remembered it being a big closed up building (75-78 apparently according to that link), then briefly reopening and having shows (I was way too young to go to it though). Then it became a dinner theater place (not sure if I remember that), then becoming that religious place it still is now. It's just a little bit west of the Nanuet Mall on Rt. 59.
Most people also don't realize that a lot of bands that are/were well-known (Anthrax, Overkill, Trans-Siberian Orchestra), or at least semi-well-known (Savatage, Dahlia Seed), or important/influential extremely underground bands (Borbetomagus) were from Rockland, or at least partially from Rockland.
There was other stuff in Rockland that was pretty cool as late as the early 90's. I saw the Ramones, GWAR, Living Colour, Kreator, and lots of other good bands play in Spring Valley. I don't think those days will ever come back though.
Family friends' father was asked by Gene Simmons if he wanted to join his "starter" band, but said he'd pass judging the future by the salad bowl of cocaine on the kitchen table.
