And that sums up my weekend. After being shut out of the MixFest concert and my chance to see Duran Duran again after 19 years because my purse was too big and they wouldn't let me in, I came home on Friday and... not much. You never had a pet?? Not even like, a grasshopper when you were a kid? A... frog? Mouse? Something? Gerbil? I do believe you are the first I've ever met who has never, ever had a pet of any sort. In a way, that's kind of cool, like a milestone of some sort. Go you!

To be fair, there were some fish in my childhood. There was an aquarium at my grandparent's house but I had no attachment to them and wasn't allowed to take care of them anyway. The one time I tried to have a goldfish at home, my mom (who is afraid of all animals) made me keep it in the garage - I have no memory at all of what happened to it.
