So this Friday is when OoC and I are going out and I bought my ticket for the concert on Saturday. When I saw him at Happy Hour on Friday he kept saying how excited he was. I mean, I know he meant he was excited to see the band but he's probably also excited to have someone to go with as he's in the same position as me in not knowing anyone else ( Read more... )

Other: If you don't use 'em, chuck 'em. Guilt-free. Maybe it's all the Clean Sweep I've been watching on TLC, but honestly... life's way too short to feel badly about removing clutter from your life, or to refuse to do it out of some bizarre, Depression-Era sense of clinging to things that still technically have use, even if you're not ever going to actually use them yourself.

If you don't want something, get rid of it. It doesn't matter if it's still got wear left in it, or someone gave it to you as a gift, or you worry that you might need it again "someday" (even if you don't need it now and haven't needed it in a very long time... or ever). Just... get rid of it. Sell it. Donate it. Throw it away. Be free.

My vote is actually to play mad scientist, but actually use the stuff you cook up. But if you're really not gonna use it, dump it.

No, No NO! Don't dump it! Think of all the shelters who could use more shampoo for their residents! Rosie's Place, The Home for Little Wanderers, Bridge over Troubled Water, Bston ALcohol Detox....There are tons of domestic violence shelters or homeless shelters that could use shampoos and stuff. Give them a ring! It can be your good deed for the Holidays!
