Heat stroked out.....
I'm not really going to write, like, actual paragraphs...just notes. Just thinking about it tires me out...ugh.
-lacey and i set the alarm for 8 am, we finally get up at 8:05 to the ring tone of "saved by the bell"
-get ready fairly quickly
-we both look cute as hell
-leave @ approx. 9:15
-get to the park @ 9:45
-we first get in the line to buy tickets on accident, but then go to the right one
-we are like 7th and 8th in line
-we fill out a survey from this scary man
-we try unsuccessfully to stand under the tent in the shade
-we start talking to the boys in front of us and they let us in the tent
-they're from new mexico, and have bad teeth
-after my hair goes flat and we both have sweat coming out of every pore, it's like noon and they open up shop
-we walk around first, then see LP from yellowcard walk by
-we follow him for a bit, then stop to talk
-he signs our tickets, and make small talk
-then it's onto the big inflatable line up thingy to see who's playing when
-i am then crushed as we walk over to the smartpunk stage to see that my beloved matches will not be playing
-we go to the epitaph tent to see whats up, and some big guy explains what happened
-i shed a few imaginary tears and we're off again on the adventure
-go to this tent to rest and reapply some cosmetics
-we go over to the yellowcard merch tent to find sean
-we talk to him for a good 5-6 minutes
-he signs the ticket that LP did
-blah, blah, blah
-it's hot as hell
-we walk around some more i think...by now i am delerious
-we find out that yc is gonna do a 'meet and greet'
-we line up in the baking, hot ass sun
-we cut in front of 50 people to be the 3rd in line
-we meet yc...they all sign a shirt i had bought
-we are on a yc high
-we walk around some more
-find this cool band who likes to talk and thinks we are 21
-walk some more
-go talk to that band again
-determine that we both have heat stroke and that we have run out of water
-we take pictures of eachother and our state of health
-we sit under a tree and grab some food and a drink
-find out that i have sat in g-u-m!!!!
-go watch new found glory for a few minutes
-the sun is too hot, we leave
-meet some more bands, but some merch from them cause we feel sorry that they dont have enough $ to make it to the city
-go over to a small stage and sit down to watch moments in grace
-decide that it's really fuckin hot
-find out that the entire freakin park has RAN OUT OF WATER
-by this time every ounce of make up has completely melted off and dissolved
-decide its time to leave since we both cant walk straight
-we leave at about 4:00
-it's tragic because we really didnt see anyone play who we wanted to see and we didnt even stay for yc, soty, or taking back sunday
no regrets though....
