I agree. But I kind of ignore all those celebrities who act like prepubescent girls.

Sometimes it is very difficult for me to ignore this when I have a pre-pubescent girl of my own. I do not want her being influenced to think this is acceptable behavior, not for her or for me

Yes, if I had a pre-pubescent girl of my own it would worry me very much. I used to teach skating and mentor many young girls and I feel that much of society is detrimental to their sense of self. What used to bother me the most though, was social media and the idea that a girl's self-worth is tied to how many likes her instagram picture gets :(

There's more to be said about a woman confident enough not to have to show off her everything to feel powerful/get attention, too. I think it's important that we not try to emulate celebrities, because they really are in a world and league of their own.
