Icon Making

So yesterday I got myself into icon making. I have GIMP which I know isn't that great but at least it's something to start with. So far I've made two icons and I have to say they aren't that bad seeing they are my firsts. But hopefully today I'll get the hang of it more seeing how yesterday I was just fooling around with it to see where everything

wow! they´re great! I love so much tag first pic but I never managed to find a HQ version...do you have it?
I can see you like Rup and I made a batch of icons of Driving Lessons last week with some great bases I found at dont_be_so_base :)
I never used gimp but valliegurl uses it and makes wonderful graphics! All her tutorials are in this link if you´re interested :)
