The foot is still weak so I am not playing in the snow or joining the crazy throngs in shopping frenzy. But I did manage to do a fair bit of knitting and I have almost finished Kepler.  Yeah!!

I can't wait to see how yours turns out. How do you like the yarn you are using for this project? Is it more like shetland or no? It's on my list to check out but that list keeps getting longer.......

I don't know how to describe the yarn. It is similar to shetland but it's almost like soft soft felt. strange stuff but I love it. It's making a very nice soft fabric. If I can just find the time to finish everything....

Beautiful! Kepler is a lovely pattern. I like it in this color; the cable is still quite visible.

I agree with you about knitting yarn tight. I prefer a denser fabric as well. I have seen the original Kepler (Emily is a local here) and I don't recall it being a looser gauge. Some yarn companies seem to define their gauge looser than others; there does not seem to be consistancy in the industry on this.

I look forward to seeing you in your Kepler!

Thanks, I'm *still* seaming - the color is great but it it's a bear for seaming, egads!

Hey, you know everybody! I'm sure the yarn Emily used on the original Kepler was a touch thicker, and nobody else that looks at mine understands why I think it should be denser, it just should :) It is such a nice design, simple and classy, I may make another one in a summer weight with a different cable pattern for variety.
