Thank you for ALL your hard work, mods. We've loved this comm. If I weren't already up to my eyeballs in trying to keep other events alive, I might offer but I simply cannot. Again, THANK YOU!

Thank you all, mods. This has been a great comm and will remain a really good resource, even if no one is able to take over from you guys.

Hi there,

A post from De_nugis mentioned about the possibility of having someone take over as a mod?

I'm not sure what a mod does and what it entails? Could you let me know what I would have to do, I'm not sure what it is a mod does and how it works. I'm willing to learn, if it's something that I could do; so please contact me.

Hi cappy!

I'll give you a run down of modly duties.

At any time during the month:

- update the list of people who've signed up to rec, e.g. put de_nugis in the "J2 reccer for March" list. (This takes at most ~five minutes per month.)

- keep track of the number of recs a reccer has made; must be a minimum of 3 (~20 minutes per month)

- answer people's questions and check if the posts are correctly formatted; help out if need be (i have no estimate here because it doesn't always happen)

At the end/beginning of each month: - remove posting access from current reccers and grant posting access to new reccers (idk, 10 minutes at most, I think ( ... )

Question - do you have a spreadsheet that you use for the recs or how to keep track?

I'm not used to posting a lot of things on LJ and I'm trying to figure out if this is something that I could do. I'm interested but hesitant.

Yes, we use gdocs. We'll give you the relevant spreadsheets, two of which can be seen here and here.

Which reminds me that I still need to do the round-up for July; so if you want to take over, I'll wait with that and show you the ropes when you have the time.
