thank you for that! seriously. cause i was trying to work it all out in my head but i just couldn't. the problem is that most people wont sit and work it out either, so the writers should have taken that into account and tried to either make things more obvious or whatever.

i feel like there could have been another scene somewhere in there to show how much time had passed before we see HRG getting into Mohinder's cab.

i'm still so confused lol. even reading what you wrote over again while i'm posting this comment.

i definitly agree with you about the time that passed inbetween when gabriel killed brian davis and when he went to show chandra the ability. that almost seems like a given now.

ok im gonna stop now before my brain explodes lol.

so i just went back and rewatched the scene where gabriel goes to see chandra to show him his power, and he clearly says "about the other day, i'm should have behaved, it was uncalled for, im sorry." speaking of when he had his outburst before he went to see brian davis... 'the other day' is clearly not months ago. so meh on the timeline again.

yeah i noticed that too but maybe he was referring to the last time he saw him. one time i got into this huge fight with a friend of mine and we literally didn't talk for three months. when we finally ran into one another, we started talking and she said "im sorry about the things i said the other night", so idk.

i just think it happened that way because the time he came to see chandra, he was soooo completely different than when they first met and when gabriel met elle. not just the fact that he didn't have to wear any glasses or that his hair was different, but he was acting more confident

yeah i know what you mean. i was actually thinking that when i was writing it. but it didnt seem like a gabriel thing to do.

i completely agree with you, i just think the writers messed up more than anything.

I actually posted something similar on my other journal, trying to figure out all the time lines. But the Gabriel time line is clearly wrong. By the time Noah gets into Momo's cab, he should already known about Sylar and his intention to go after Claire (by this time Sylar already has an FBI file and everything). So if you believe that there are 6 months between when Gabe kills again with Elle witnessing and Noah getting in the cab, then the time line is all right. But then Noah shouldn't have called him 'Mr Gray'

it is sooo confusing, lmao. but i am always trying to find a way out of the potholes for some reason, lmao. but i never said that the time line the writers pushed on us was right, because they were clearly jumping around and not only in sylar's story but in the petrelli's one too. i was just attempting to connect the dots the way i believe it happened. actually, when noah got in to momo's car, (i love that nickname by the way)they never stated that he knew that sylar was coming after claire. it was not until episodes later when eden told him that hiro from the future gave a message to peter telling him to "save the cheerleader". noah has called him mr. grey several times as well as sylar. when they meet in "fallout" he calls him gabriel a few times and sylar has to correct him. i dont know about it being six months, but yes, there had to be some time gap between those two scenes where gabriel started to become sylar, killed chandra and went on his killing spree ( ... )

LOL. I do that too, I'm just ignoring certain labels they placed on the scenes and some things that were said. The Petrelli storyline was actually completely right, it started 18 months ago, and then jumped six months, making the rest of the story one year ago, in the 'Six Months Ago' universe.

Okay I had no problem with him saying Mr Gray, but right after that he said something in the lines off 'we'll meet him again soon enough' but by this time 6 months have passed, and he's already killed countless of people. That's what really bugged me.

Personally I think they tried to connect the events in Genesis way too much with the events in Six Months Ago, and that's where something definitely went wrong. I'm such a dork for trying to figure this out. LOL.

yeah i try to ignore that too cause and just try to figure things out on my own. was the petrelli line right? cause i remember that it was on six months ago that nathan had his "accident" and that artur died, which would have been 18 months ago from today. but when nathan had crashed it clearly says one year ago.

you are right, they try to tie up things with genesis and what happened before hand but it only made it more confusing. i mean, also the meredith story. wasn't she traveling through mexico for years before she met claire? and at what point did mr. bennet travel to india?

"sylar's power is in fact of transfering one's powers to another"

Aaaaaahhh!! Now, it dawns on me!!! *headdesk* See the light, how it shines above my head? LOL Of course, that's his power. I NEVER thought of that! I always wondered how he gets all the powers, and the other day when we saw him taking Claire's power, I still wondered. LOL

Haven't seen the episode yet, but will, later. At the moment, I'm supposed to be working. *coughs* :D

i edited my original post and tried to explain things a little better, and added a recap of the events. the way to see this is, that the events that we say on the episode "villains" happened in between "sixmonths ago" and "genesis ( ... )

I've wrote the same post on my lj.
There's nothing wrong in the time line. The writers made just an error, they didn't write "6 months ago" on the train scene and the Elle/HRG finale scene.
He kills chandra a couple of days before the pilot and the walkers a couple of days after the pilot, so I'd inverted 10 and 11, we know that he is been killing people in dozen states in 3 months before the pilot (Audrey Hanson tell so to Parkman) so the "unleash a monster into the world" still make sense.

The time line was so screwed up in this episode. There was a lot of good parts but it all screwed up. It's like the writers completely forgot about Chandra Suresh when they did the whole Elle/Gabriel/Sylar thing.

The blank "one year ago" they used on everything was completely wrong for almost all the flash backs for the reasons you pointed out here.

Your recap time line sounds about right to me
