I'm in sunny florida... with my dad and grandma, I haven't much else to do, so I'll start laying down the cruise, plank by freaking plank. I didn't realize how much space this would take at first, so I'll need to take a break and come back. This post will only cover my dining experiences.

Once you're out of Ohio, the speed limit headed south is 70 the whole way, so we were rarely under 80, made ecxellent time. Then a whole bunch of crap happened and I was on this really big boat, and every minute that went by I learned something new and more amazing. First, all the food is free. There were big dining halls that only served one fancy meal a day, but other than that, buffets every fifty feet. And these were amazing fucking buffets, sometimes they had themes. Duck and thai noodles and five kinds of soup, hamburgers or hot dogs with any exotic typing, a dozen kinds of pasta salad, omelette bars, fresh pancakes and sausage and bacon, 24 hour pizza, just food everywhere, and maybe 4 hours out of the day when it wasn't being served. And the dinners, my god, typically 5 choices of appetizer, two or three soups, two or three salad/fruit type dealies, and 5 or six entries. Exquisite. There was a different cut of steak on the menu every night, different kinds of pork from ribs to racks, duck, seafood, so many ways to make chicken, so many pastas, even the appetizershad daainty little decorations, so succulent, and all the food was free, included with the cruise. If you wanted you could hop from buffet to buffet all day, no one would think twice of it. You could order three appetizers, soup, salad, and two entrees and the waiter would just keep writing. Medium rare was never so juicy and moist on the inside but neatly charred on the outside before. If you forgot your dentures it didn't matter because the pork roast was so tender. The chicken fetucinni was so delightfully spiced I had to take smaller and smaller bites that I might appreciate it that much more. I was usually so satisfied at this point that I couldn't bare to cram down dessert, but needless to say the fudge was richer than gold and the exotic pastries whose names I could never pronounce were lighter than air, or dense as lead depending on which is more appropriate for the course. I'll only briefly comment on the drinks because they will clearly be coming up again and again. For the average person on this cruise, drinks were extra. If you wanted a pina colada, you payed for your pina colada. I was fortunate enough to not be another average person. Every passenger is given an ID/credit card deal that takes money from a specified credit card or checking account. As this was a company sponsored vacation, my card was connected to my dads corporate American express card, and all. the. drinks. were. free. Unfortunately I later found that international waters or not they won't sell to anyone under 21, but my dad bought me anything upon request. We very nearly spent $200 a piece on booze between thursday and sunday night, and in fact, most of thursdays festivities were on the house, and saturday was on whoever was unfortunate enough to be the last at the bar. Can't remember the last time I binged that hard, mostly because I binged that hard...
