Chuck was less than twenty-four hours away from being released from the hospital and he was practically counting the minutes. In his own (uninformed) opinion, he had been fine to leave since Friday. Zoe did her best to keep track of what was happening with the school's alumni, but it was much easier to do that for the students that Sam still kept in contact with. She'd heard about what had happened to Chuck, and once she had a free moment in her office, she picked up the phone and hoped that she'd gotten the right number.

Chuck answered the phone almost immediately. He had been really bored in the hospital, okay?

"Chuck? This is Principal Winchester," Zoe said, smiling at how quickly he'd picked up the phone. "Is this a bad time?"

The eternal troublemaker in Chuck quickly tried to think of what he could have possibly done wrong before remember that he wasn't in high school anymore. "Uh, no. This isn't a bad time. Kind of starved for entertainment, actually."
