This past weekend I went up to Frost Valley and helped clean up Biscuit Creek and the Neversink River. Driving there was interesting. My normal route is completely gone...there's a 52ft wide crevice in the road now. The towns I would drive through on Rt 28 are mostly washed out and condemned. It sounds like a good time - not a good situation obviously, but it's great when people can come together like that.

I'm also really glad to hear that Jay had a good weekend with the kids!! It's great that he could take them out on his own, I'm sure he hasn't had too much experience with that before :)

I'm glad that folks were able to come together and make a difference. I'd donate, except that I already have donated to families affected by the massive wildfires here (Texas). Too many disasters for 2011...

Yay for Jay!! That's wonderful that he was able to handle the kiddos on his own. I'm sure they all had a great time.

It's defintiely been a crazy year of fires, tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes...the world is going crazy.

Wow, that crevice is insane. I can't believe people are hiking that. I love how they've come together though on the car situation.
