I just ordered Colton and Daphne 4 pairs of Alva Baby Leggings. They are super cute and I like the fact that they are more like footless tights and less like the BabyLeg concept of stopping at the thigh. I was hoping to get the leggings thru a co-op, but they never hit enough leggings to get the big price drop. It was cheaper for me to drop out of ( Read more... )

You can get brand new babylegs in package on ebay for $5 a pair, that's how I got like 9 pairs.

I don't really like the normal babylegs that stop at the thigh. I liked that these went all the way up and over the diaper. Does babylegs make a type like that?

Yeah, they have those, but I don't know about how much they are or if they're available cheaper anywhere. We liked the leg warmers because they made for easier diaper changes vs pants that you need to pull on. He's kinda too tall for them now.

I'll have to look around. Those were the 4 that I really liked and would be ok putting on both kids.

Well we bought about 60 of them and received 20 used ones for free from a friend. Her daughter potty trained, I asked about buying her diapers off of her, and she said "take them, who would pay money for used diapers?". It was a big help when we went on our 4 day camping trip this past spring with no available laundry.

Colton and Daphne are such different sizes that I figured this type that gets pulled over the diapers might actually fit them both since those cloth diapers help all of their clothes stay on. I keep thinking that the leg warmer style will just slide right off of Daphne's legs.

I know Daphne is tiny, but Ben wore legwarmers last winter, so they'd probably fit her. I think he was like 4 months old when I started putting them on him.

Oh I'm sure they have her size, I just want to buy the same size for both kids. Colton and Daphne's thighs are very different sizes, but tushes are about the same size thanks to their diapers :P

Oh those are really cute! I'm tempted to buy them, even though they totally negate what I use baby legs for. I usually stick them on Ben under shorts on those days when it's cold in the morning, but gets hot later.

Aren't they?! Super inexpensive too. The Co-op I was hoping todo would put them at a $1.00 a pair, but they only got 38 orders and needed 100. Ha! I never thought about putting them on under shorts. These were bought with the idea of long underwear on under their normal clothes.

Owen has some of these (he's got the owl one and a few others that are different) and I got them on eBay. I think they were a bit more than you paid for them, though, but not a lot more.

Oooh! Do you like them? I couldn't find a lot of reviews on the leggings. I would've bought more, but I didn't want to risk them being a complete dud, so just bought 4.

I'm really happy with them, especially for el cheapo pants. I'm not gentle with them (and neither is Owen!) - they've been through the dryer countless times and they're basically all he's worn to daycare for about the last four months - but they've held up really well in spite of that. There's a bit of pilling after several months of regular wear, but no holes in any of them.
