I had never heard of that case till you just mentioned it. I knew it was based of a novel but had never known of a case similar to it. If I had known about the case more, I probably would have felt similar to you. Less surprised and more ripped off. :/

Not really. There were times when I didn't think the acting was up to par and I thought the story of Johnny Pietro was pretty useless save for the fact that it resulted in the death of the child molester and only conflicted Patrick more. I felt as if that part was just to fill an empty spot so the movie could eventually reach a certain point. It didn't flow very well to me. By the time it had gone back to the child molester, I had forgotten about him even being in the movie.

Gone Girl may be the most twisted film I've ever seen.
