Emily hands her dad a plate as she brings out dinner into the living room, having made an extra large plate for him and Gillian to split.

"So what are we doing for Thanksgiving?" Emily sits down and curls her feet under her before starting to eat.

"I don't know what do you want to do love?" Cal looks at Gillian as he takes a bite of his food.

"I don't see any reason to change anything. It'll be us, Zoe, Max and his parents, I think my parents are coming in town."

"You want all of these people here?"

"It's tradition." Gillian burps Jake and lays him down with his sister.

"I think it's nice."

"I'm fine with it if Em is." Cal looks at his daughter and raises his eyebrows. Emily shrugs.

"Sure, sounds fun."

---

Gillian hands Lily to Cal, the small child letting out a squeak.

"Go sit down and watch football like a normal man while I finish dinner."

"Are you saying I can't cook?"

"I'm saying go watch tv with our guests before I beat you with the turkey." Cal grins and kisses Gillian before leaving the kitchen with Lily. Gillian takes the turkey out of the oven and sticks a thermometer in it as she pulls the potatoes off of the stovetop and drains them in the sink. She pulls the thermometer from the turkey before moving it to the kitchen table. Gillian quickly finishes the mashed potatoes and puts the sweet potatoes in the oven before prepping the veggies and putting the stuffing in the oven as well. Once everything gets done Gillian sets the table before finishing dessert and putting all of the food on the table. She goes to the living room and kisses Cal's head.

"Why don't you get everyone into the dining room while I go lay the twins down?" Cal nods before handing Lily back to her mother. Gillian takes Jake from Emily before padding up to the nursery. She lays the dozy babies down in the same crib before kissing their heads. She turns the mobile on and heads back downstairs.

"Okay, let's eat." Gillian sits down next to Cal and starts to pass around the dishes. Cal gets up after a moment and looks at their motley group.

"Wine anyone?" All of the adults nod and Cal goes into the kitchen, getting a bottle of red wine. He opens it up before pouring some in everyone's glass.

"Thanks." Cal nods as he sits back down before starting to eat. Gillian rubs Cal's leg under the table and rests her hand on his knee as they eat. Once everyone gets their fill and starts to pick as they converse Gillian gets up and goes to the kitchen, grabbing the pumpkin cheesecake she'd made along with a knife and a short stack of dessert plates.

"Who wants dessert?" Everyone perks up at the mention of dessert and Gillian dishes out a slice to everyone before sitting down with her own.

"This is delicious, everything's been great."

"Thanks Mom." Gillian takes a sip of her wine before starting to eat her piece of the cheesecake. Once everyone finishes they all stand up and stretch out.

"Is there anything we should do with our dishes?" Gillian shakes her head and stands up herself.

"Just leave them and I'll get them later, but if you could help me take the food to the kitchen…" Everyone nods and helps take the food to the kitchen. They quickly box it up before going to the living room.

"Let's play a game." Cal jumps over the back of the couch and wedges himself between Gillian and Emily.

"What kind of game love?"

"Trivial Pursuit?"

"Sure."

"Cool, I'll set it up." Emily pushes herself up and disappears. Gillian gets up and rubs Cal's head.

"I’m going to go check on the twins."

"Okay love." Gillian climbs the stairs and pushes the door open to the nursery. She smiles when she hears the twins cooing and gurgling. Gilian goes into the room and picks the twins up.

"How's mama's babies?" Jake coos as Lily cracks a small smile.

"Let's go downstairs." Gillian carries the twins downstairs and sits down next to Cal. Cal smiles and takes Lily as Emily finishes setting the game up.

"Okay, who's on whose team?" Cal nods to Gillian.

"Us." Max points to Emily.

"Us." Gillian's dad gets up and moves next to Zoe.

"We can play together." Max's mom and his real father raise their hands.

"We'll play." Emily nods and assigns everyone a color before explaining the rules and starting to play.

---

Cal looks at Gillian as he holds a card.

"Okay last question." Cal glances at the card before grinning at Gillian.

"You should get this one."

"Just ask the question." Cal takes a deep breath before speaking.

"Will you marry me?" Everyone quiets as Gillian's eyes widen.

"What?"

"It's a simple question. Will you marry me?" Cal reaches into his pocket and pulls out a black ring box before opening it. Gillian swallows and nods quickly before managing to squeak out an answer.

"Yeah." Cal smiles and slips the glittering ring onto Gillian's finger.

"Perfect fit." Cal nods and kisses Gillian slowly and deeply.

"I love you."

"I love you too love." Gillian laughs and kisses Cal again. Lily lets out a squeak as she gets stuck between her parents. Gillian pulls back and kisses her head softly.

"Sorry sweetie."

"Congratulations!" Gillian laughs and leans into Cal as she starts to turn bright red.

"Thanks." Emily gets up off of the floor and goes to sit next to Cal and Gillian.

"So when do you think they big day will be?" Gillian shrugs and looks at Cal.

"I don't know." Cal speaks up.

"Next spring." Cal looks at Gillian.

"In the park, when the cherry blossoms bloom." Gillian smiles and kisses Cal's chin.

"Someone's excited about this."

"Totally."

---

"Mamamamamamamaaaaaaaa." Gillian smiles and picks Jake up.

"What Jakey? What are you mama-ing about?" Jake giggles and coos as he lays against his mother's chest.

"Just like your daddy." Emily comes into Gillian's office and smiles as she sees her brother awake.

"Hi Jakey!"

"EEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeemMmmmmmm" Emily laughs and takes Jake from Gillian.

"Lily still napping?" Gillian nods.

"You ready to go shopping?"

"Yeah; are they coming with?" Gillian nods as she picks Lily up from the playpen she had set up in her office. She lays her daughter into her carseat before buckling her up.

"Are you okay carrying him to the car?"

"Yeah, where's his jacket?"

"On the stroller." Emily grabs the heavy winter jacket and helps her brother into it before smiling at him.

"Ready Jake?"

"AH!" Emily laughs and follows Gillian out of the office and to her car. She puts Jake into his car seat before getting into the front seat. Gillian gets in after securing Lily and starts to drive towards her and Emily's favorite mall.

"So what are we shopping for?"

"Wedding dresses."

"I don't have to wear an ugly dress right?" Gillian laughs and shakes her head.

"No, no ugly dresses."

"What color?"

"Probably blue…or green…" Emily nods and watches the scenery pass by before getting out as they get to the mall. She sets up the stroller as Gillian gets the twins out of the car. Gillian takes the stroller from Emily and starts to push as they walk inside. The two of them walk in silence, occasionally stopping in stores to brows. Gillian stops as they walk by a dress shop that boasted hand made dresses.

"Let's go in here." Emily nods and follows Gillian in. Gillian browses through the one of a kind dresses before pulling out one that had caught her eye. The white dress had spaghetti straps that were styled with the same ivory beading that the bodice had. The bust was embracing but the skirt was loose and flowing, dropping to the floor.

"You totally need to try that on." Gillian nods and takes the dress to a dressing room. She undresses from her work clothes and slips the dress on before zipping it up and going out in the store to find Emily.

"So?" Gillian turns around and Emily nods.

"I think that's the dress."

"You do?"

"Definitely, look at yourself." Gillian looks in the mirror and her hand goes to her mouth, as tears slightly well in her eyes. She pulls her hand away and smoothes her hands over the fabric.

"They've got some sandals that I saw that go with it."

"Will you go grab them?" Emily nods and goes off, returning with the box a few minutes later.

"Here." Gillian slips the shoes on and lifts the skirt a bit to look at them. They matched the dress perfectly with the same beading that it had on the straps of them.

"Perfect." Emily nods, looking at the shopkeeper that had come over.

"Find something?" Gillian nods.

"I'll take this one, and the sandals too."

"Okay." Do you want to keep it here so we can make any adjustments before the big day?"

"Sure?" Gillian goes into the dressing room and undresses from her dress before getting redressed in her work clothes. She hands the dress and the shoes to the woman before looking at Emily.

"We still need to find you a dress."

"I have one at home I can wear."

"You sure?" Emily nods and smiles.

"Okay, then I think we'll just be taking the dress and shoes."

"Alright let's get you rang up then we'll set your fitting appointments." The woman reads the tag on the shoes before reading the one on the dress and adding them up on the register, applying tax.

"Okay, it's going to be $2017.24." Gillian gets her card out and hands it over before signing the receipt and taking her card back.

"When's the big day?"

"April 12th." The woman smiles.

"Cherry blossom time." Gillian nods and smiles.

"How about one at the beginning of February and one four days before the wedding?"

"Sounds perfect." Gillian thanks the woman before pushing the stroller out with Emily.

"Hungry?"

"You just dropped two thousand dollars on a dress and a pair of shoes…and you're asking if I'm hungry?"

"Yes." Emily looks at Gillian for a second before shrugging.

"Yeah I could eat." Gillian laughs and walks with Emily towards the food court.
